It’s hard to believe we are entering 2022! I’m excited to be bringing you the latest copy of our Seasonal Buying guide.
This guide provides a great resource to you, our retailers, on new products, seasonal specials and trends we are seeing across the marketplace. In addition, you’ll find some great updates on Harper Group and all the ways we continue to be of service.
Our Southeast Expansion
I am pleased to announce starting January 2022 we are expanding our services and coverage into the Southeast! We are opening a premier showroom located on the 17th floor of building 2 in AmericasMart, one of the leading market centers for retailers across the country. Our new Southeast sales team will work with retailers in this region as well as welcome all of our retailers for the Atlanta Winter and Summer shows.
Trends in the Market
We continue to see strong demand across all of our regions. Our publishing category led the growth this year, followed by home fragrance, paper and gifts. Our retailers are placing larger average orders than in previous years, mostly due to the concerns around inventory availability. From our research, demand at retail continues to be very robust, with the majority of our retailers struggling to receive enough inventory to keep pace with sales. Our expectation for 2022 is that demand will remain strong with better product availability from our brands.
Our Technology
We continue to invest in our technology to provide you a much more seamless shopping experience with us. Our new online shopping platform, which went live in October, provides multiple ways to discover product and shop in a way that fits your unique browsing and buying style. With enhanced brand pages, product image galleries, hot-spotted catalogs and improved search across all Harper Group Brands we’ve made it easier and more convenient than ever to shop online with us.
Our Team
Our team has continued to grow. We have added new Territory Managers across all of our regions as well as additional back-office and customer service support to assist you. We know how important your time is, and we want to ensure we make your experience with us as easy and informative as possible.
